TTI recently completed a study of roadway noise mitigation, as directed in 2015 by the 84th Texas Legislature. Researchers compared noise guidelines in Texas with five other states, interviewed officials representing several toll road authorities in Texas, and measured and compared predicted and actual sound levels behind noise barriers along three toll road sections after construction.
